Head coach of the Italian soccer club Udinese Calcio. Prior to embarking upon a career as a head manager/coach he played for a number of professional teams including the team who won the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
In 1993, he began playing for A.C. Milan's youth team.
One of his earliest coaching jobs was for his hometown's under 19 team.
He and his wife Claudia Crivelli had several children.
He coached Igor Bubnjić at Udinese Calcio.
