Left-handed batter that has primarily played cricket professionally in leagues across England and Australia. Since beginning his professional cricket career with Queensland in 2014, he has played for the Brisbane Heat, Adelaide Strikers, Kent County Cricket, and even the Somerset County Cricket Club. He has also played for the Australian men's national team during his professional career.
He is a graduate of the Brisbane Grammar School. He later signed his first professional club contract with Queensland at the age of 18.
While playing with Team Australia, he won his first career gold medal during the 2023 World Test Championships after defeating Team India. Due to his playing style, he is often referred to as "The Turtle."
Although he was born in Middlesbrough, England, he grew up living with his family in the country of New Zealand.
He is a professional cricketer just like Joe Root and Naseem Abbas Shah.
