He first worked as an assistant sound designer on the action film "The Rock" from 1996.
He had an uncredited role in "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" as Bib Fortuna.
His father helped him put his resume together to apply for a job at Lucasfilm. He eventually became Supervising Sound Editor at Skywalker Sound.
He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Sound Design for 2007's "There Will Be Blood," which starred Daniel Day Lewis.
