Mehmet Omer Koc was born in Turkey. Mehmet Omer Koc is a third generation member of the Koc Family and deputy Chairman of the Board of Koc Holding, whose stock price is up 30% over the past year. He is also Chairman of the Board of Tupras which is Turkey's only oil refinery. Mehmet is one of Turkey's most noted art collectors with a large collection of orientalist paintings, drawings, books and an etching collection as well as a large contemporary painting collection. His brothers Mustafa Vehbi and Yildirim Ali Koc, his aunts Suna Kirac and Semahat Arsel and his father Mustafa Rahmi Koc are also billionaires.
