Famous as the child of Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, he was tragically killed at the age of twenty-three in a skiing accident involving an avalanche. His body, which is believed to have ended up in British Columbia's Kokanee Lake, was never recovered.
After graduating from Montreal's College Jean-de-Brebeuf, he pursued a degree in microbiology at Dalhousie University.
His horticulturist aunt dedicated a type of rose displayed at the 2010 World Rose Festival to his memory.
A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, he was the third and final child born to Pierre and Margaret Trudeau. His older brothers, Justin and Alex Andre, had respective careers as a Politician and a filmmaker.
His Liberal Party leader father was succeeded in office by Progressive Conservative Party Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
