Famous as the Managing Editor of an Arabic entertainment website called FilFan.com, Omar also contributed to an art themed publication called Washwasha. By early 2015, he had more than 40,000 Twitter followers.
Before joining the FilFan.com team, Omar worked for publications titled Shams Magazine and Ara Dubai Magazine.
From 2010 until 2011, he contributed to the Nile Life television program Shawshara.
He was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt.
As an entertainment Journalist, he covered stories involving the Moroccan pop singer Samira Said.
