Professional Romanian tennis player who is best known for her highest WTA ranking as no. 28 in singles that she reached in February of 2012.
With exceptional talent at a young age, before she turned 18, she won 11 ITF singles finals, losing only one set. She then made her WTA debut in 2006 in Istanbul, where she won to then junior Sabine Lisicki.
Aside two WTA semifinals in Shenzhen and Monterrey, she won her first singles WTA title in Florianópolis in 2013.
While she was born in Slatina, Romania, she moved to Bucharest at the age of four where she was raised.
She has played a variety of the biggest stars in tennis including Venus Williams and Alize Cornet.
