Sri Lankan singer who has won eight Presidential Awards for Best Singer and is often compared to popular singer Pandith Amaradewa.
She won a poetry contest when she was younger and sang "Budu Sadu" on Radio Ceylon.
She collaborated with Pandit W. D. Amaradewa for the Srawana Aradhana concert in 1971.
She married Suneth Gokula and they had two children.
