Australian businesswoman who founded the experience gift retailer RedBalloon in 2001. She is known to Australian television audiences as a "shark" on Shark Tank and is the author of several books, including I Want What She's Having.
She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1984. Before founding RedBalloon, she worked for a number of notable tech companies, including IBM and Apple Computer Australia.
She received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011.
She was previously married to Peter Simson.
She has appeared alongside fellow "shark" Janine Allis on Shark Tank.
