Award-winning Celebrity chef and television personality who became the head chef and proprietor of the MacNean House and Restaurant. He was the Resident Chef on the television show Open House from 1998 to 2004 and later landed a cooking show called Neven Maguire: Home Chef on PBS' Create TV.
He was 12 years old when he began cooking at his family's restaurant. He left school when he was 16 to pursue his culinary dreams and later attended Enniskillen College of Food.
He became a regular contributor on the RTE Radio 1 show The Marian Finucane Show. He began writing weekly columns for the Irish Farmers Journal and has penned a number of cookbooks.
He was born in Blacklion, County Cavan, Ireland to parents Joe and Vera Maguire. He has twin sons with his wife Amelda who nearly passed away during labor.
He was featured on a controversial Food & Wine magazine cover alongside model Georgia Salpa in August of 2009.
