NBA center that was initially signed by the Oklahoma City Thunder as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He was later signed by the Miami Heat in May 2021. He has also played for the Turkish based club Fenerbahçe during his professional basketball career.
He initially began his college basketball career at North Carolina State University. He eventually transferred to Georgetown University in 2019.
While playing for Fenerbahçe, he won a Turkish Super League Championship as well as the Turkish Super Cup. In addition to basketball, he also loves to play chess.
Growing up, he lived with his parents and his siblings in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Although he is a native of Uzbekistan, he was born of Turkish descent.
He was coached by Patrick Ewing while at Georgetown.
