Women's super bantamweight boxer that competed for the Somali national team during the 2020 Summer Olympics. Besides her boxing prowess, she has also gained recognition for being an author, model and activist. In 2023, she was named woman of the year by TIME Magazine.
As a teenager, she won England's 2015 Novice national championship. She also won the 2016 Great British Championships.
In 2020, she became the first Somali boxer ever to compete in the Summer Olympics. Unfortunately, she didn't receive a medal at the event.
