Architectural theorist, urbanist, and Journalist whose work included the Embassy of the Netherlands in Berlin and the Seattle Central Library. Winner of the 2000 Pritzker Prize and part of Time magazine's 2008 list of the top 100 most influential people in the world.
He worked as a Journalist for the Haagse Post before enrolling in the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London in 1968. He then studied at Cornell University in 1972 and concluded his education at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York City.
He co-founded Volume Magazine in 2005; his writing work had already gained credibility after the publication of "Delirious New York" in 1978 and "S,M,L,XL" in 1995.
