Before her body, found in Galveston Bay, was identified, this murdered toddler was referred to in newspapers and on television news programs as "Baby Grace." Her stepfather and her mother were determined to be her Murderers.

She was born to teenage parents Kimberly Dawn Trenor and Robert Thomas Sawyers and was cared for primarily by her paternal grandmother, Sheryl Sawyers (who later identified "Baby Grace" based on police composite sketches). After her father accused her mother of domestic violence and left the household, her mother married a corporal punishment advocate named Royce Clyde Zeigler, Jr.
She and fellow American child Jonbenet Ramsey both tragically became murder victims.
