Respected news anchor who became a mainstay in Chicago television news on WFLD-TV in 1987. She is the recipient of numerous local Emmy awards for her reporting.
She moved from Chicago to California in 1960, where she eventually earned a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University.
She and WFLD-TV received numerous complaints in December 2011 after she denied the existence of Santa Claus on air.
Her first marriage was to renowned track and field athlete Steve Williams.
She and Alan Krashesky have both worked as television news anchors in Chicago.
