Professional box lacrosse defender known for his enforcing style, accumulating more than 1,000 career penalty minutes in his career. He's played in both the National Lacrosse League and the Western Lacrosse Association.
He spent his youth career with the Jr. B Mimico Mountaineers and the Jr. A Brampton Excelsiors. He was a second round pick of the New York Titans in the 2007 NLL draft.
He set an NLL record by recording 104 penalty minutes during the 2010 season. He attended York University in Toronto.
He played junior hockey with his brothers Brendan and Reilly Smith, both of whom went on to play in the NHL.
He and Derek Keenan both played for the Buffalo Bandits during their respective careers.
