South African Olympic Swimmer who became the first to represent his country in four consecutive games.
He was a nine-time NCAA champion at the University of Arizona.
He won the gold medal in the 4×100m freestyle relay at the 2004 Summer Olympics and just missed out on a medal in the individual 100m.
He grew up around Bloemfontein, in the Free State province, South Africa. He got engaged to Sahar Biniaz in 2015.
