Known simply by the stage name Samo, he initially gained fame as a member of the band Camila and would go on to embark on his solo career with the 2013 album Inevitable.
As a child, he was a member of his church choir. Then, at eighteen, he joined the music group Salmo 40 which toured the United States and Mexico.
In 1998, he joined the choir of Alejandra Guzmán's tour for I and Lipstick.
His full name is Samuel Parra Cruz. He was born in Veracruz, Mexico.
In 2010, he released the single "Ni una lágrima más" which featured Olga Tanon.
