Grammy-nominated Brazilian pop singer most famous for her hit solo albums Manuscrito, Principios, and Sim. She is also notable for her membership in the Sandy & Junior music duo.
She recorded her debut Sandy & Junior album, Aniversario do Tatu, in 1991, when she was just eight years old. Within the first month of its release, the recording sold nearly 300,000 copies.
Not long before her song "Scandal" charted in Canada, she earned a bachelor's degree in English and Portuguese from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas.
Born to Noely Pereira and the singer known as Xororo, she and her brother Junior spent their youth in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She married Lucas Scholles Lima in 2008. The couple has a son named Theo.
In 2006, she and Grammy-winning Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias performed a duet version of "You're My #1."
