She first auditioned for the seventh season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, but was eliminated during her duet with Eugen Flittner.
In 2011, she released her debut solo album Heartbeat which peaked at #2 on the German charts after its release.
She married fellow singer Pietro Lombardi in 2013. Two years later, they had their son, Alessio. However, the couple announced they were separating in 2016.
