Beautiful, spirited and personable redhead actress Sondra Currie greatly enlivened a handful of delightfully down'n'dirty drive-in exploitation features made in the early to mid-70s. Born in Los Angeles, Sondra is the daughter of 40s movie actress Marie Harmon and the sister of twin singers/actresses Cherie Currie and Marie Currie. She originally planned on being a race car driver. Sondra made her film debut with an uncredited bit part in Howard Hawks' final Western Rio Lobo (1970). Her most memorable roles are a gutsy eager beaver lady cop in Policewomen (1974), one of Gloria Grahame's seductive daughters in Mama's Dirty Girls (1974), a cunning, fetching femme fatale in Teenage Seductress (1975), an unhappy housewife who goes on the lam with a hunky pool cleaner in Fugitive Lovers (1975) (aka The Runaways), a feisty lass who exacts a harsh revenge on the scummy guys who raped her in the gritty Western Jessi's Girls (1975), a hardened prison inmate in the seamy babes-behind-bars classic The Concrete Jungle (1982), and "Linda Garner" in the hit comedy The Hangover (2009). Sondra and Alan are on the Board of the California Independent Film Festival and have been jury members for the past nine years.
