Hibbert began his career as a member of the Los Angeles-based improv group The Groundlings. It was where he met his first wife Julia Sweeney, marrying in 1989, then divorcing in 1994.
Besides Pulp Fiction, Hibbert has also appeared in the films Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), The Cat in the Hat (2003) and National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007). As well as appearing in the television series Newhart, Just Shoot Me, Jericho, Rodney, Back to You, Twenty Good Years, Dr. Ken and a recurring role on the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP.
