Alpine ski racer who won a gold medal in the combined event at the 2006 Olympics, and in the giant slalom at the 2014 Olympics.
He began skiing when he was just two-years old.
At the 2013 World Championships he won three gold medals.
His parents are Bill Ligety and Cyndi Sharp, two real estate agents.
He has been Olympic teammates with Bode Miller.
