Indian civil rights Activist and Journalist who worked as the General Secretary of People's Union for Human Rights.
She has a philosophy degree and initially worked as a Journalist.
She was accused of having tutored five witnesses in their statements during the Supreme Court cases involving the Godhra riots, which was a period of inter-communal violence in the Indian state of Gujarat in 2002.
She is the daughter of Atul and Sita Setalvad and she has two children, Tamara and Jibran, with Javed Anand
She and John Dayal were both Indian journalists.
