Beauty queen who was named Miss America in 2011 after winning Miss Nebraska in 2010. At the age of just 17, she became the youngest Miss America winner since 1937.
She received home-schooling up until her junior year of high school, where she began attending Scottsbluff High School.
Her platform in the pageants was based on raising awareness of eating disorders.
Her grandparents, Frank and Nives Jelich, are Croatian immigrants.
She and Katie Stam are both Miss America winners.
