Togo Igawa was born on September 26, 1946 in Tokyo, Japan, Japan, is Actor, Producer. Togo Igawa is an actor/director living in England. He trained in Japan at The Haiyuza Theatre Company Acting School and Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music. In 1986, he became the first Japanese actor to become a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. His work spans stage, film, anime, games and television, including movie roles in "Incognito" (1998), "Memories of a Geisha" (2003), "The Last Samurai" (2005),"Night Train" (2009) and "47 Ronin" (2013). Since 2009, he has been the voice of Hiro, the wise Japanese train engine in "Thomas and Friends". In 2012, he was nominated for a BAFTA Games Award for his role in "Total War: Shogun 2" (2011). Mr. Igawa lives in north Oxfordshire, England with his wife Adrienne Baba.

Igawa lives in England with his wife Adrienne Baba. He became the first Japanese member of The Royal Shakespeare Company in 1986.

2010

In recent years he has had roles in major motion pictures such as Revolver, Memoirs of a Geisha and The Last Samurai. He has also appeared in the Israeli movie A Matter of Size and the Thomas & Friends movies Hero of the Rails and Misty Island Rescue in 2010. Additionally Igawa provides the voice for the character Professor Moshimo on the cartoon series Robotboy and the voice for the character Hiro, who first appeared in Hero of the Rails, in Thomas and Friends. He appears in 2011's Johnny English Reborn, the sequel to Johnny English, as English's Tibetan guru, and is in the 2012 film Gambit playing businessman Takagawa.
