Won Super Bowl XLI as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts and Super Bowl XIII as a defensive back for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1996 to 2001 and head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2002 to 2008. After his time with the Colts, he became a Sports commentator on NBC.
He played quarterback at the University of Minnesota.
He was the first African-American head coach to win a Super Bowl.
Married Lauren Harris in 1982, and the couple had seven children, five sons and two daughters.
He coached the great Peyton Manning on the Colts.
