After becoming famous as a performer on an Indonesian variety show called Extravaganza, Sudiro earned accolades for his roles in films such as Arisan!, Nagabonar Jadi 2, and Kita Versus Korupsi.
He made his screen debut as "Mr. Purple Lotus" in a 2001 film titled Tragedi.
His television credits include the role of Bayu in Dunia Tanpa Koma and the role of Boing in Udin Bui.
Before ending in divorce, his marriage to Anggraini Kadiman resulted in children named Nayara Kanahaya and Azzahra Nabila. His second marriage, to Mieke Amalia, produced a daughter named Jenaka Mahila.
He and Reza Rahadian were both recipients of Indonesian Movie Awards (for their respective roles in the films D'Bijis and 3 Hati Dua Dunia Satu Cinta).
