California-born author who published his first children's book, The Spider Who Never Gave Up, at the age of thirteen. The work was illustrated by Michelle Ciappa.
His battle with cystic fibrosis inspired him to become the spokesman for both the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He also managed a nonprofit organization that gave laptop computers to chronically ill young people.
He studied acting at Marymount Manhattan College. He attended graduate school at New York University.
He was raised by Timothy and Teresa Flores; he grew up with two siblings: Justin and Brandon.
He acted alongside Actress Susan Batson in a Broadway workshop production of In Masks Outrageous and Austere, a lesser-known play by Tennessee Williams.
