A track-and-field athlete hailing from the United States who specializes in high-jump competitions. He is a two-time NCAA champion and has represented Team USA at the NACAC Championships.
Upon completing high school, despite receiving offers to play basketball at junior college, he made the conscious choice to enroll in his hometown school of Texas Tech University. There, he embraced the opportunity to compete on the track and field team.
On January 13th, 2018, during the Corky Classic event, he achieved an indoor personal best of 2.33m. This performance placed him as the fourth-highest jumper in NCAA history at that time.
He was born in Dallas, Texas. His two younger brothers are named J.J. and Jarrett. J.J. pursued his college basketball career at Wayland Baptist University. His youngest brother, Jarrett, followed in his footsteps by playing basketball for Texas Tech University. The latter is also a professional basketball player in the prestigious NBA.
