Finnish hockey forward best known for his years with the Chicago Blackhawks and Carolina Hurricanes. He earned gold medals representing Finland at the 2000 IIHF World Under-18 Championships and 2011 IIHF World Championships.
He played for HIFK in SM-liiga during the 1999-00 season.
He earned a medal in each of the first eleven events in which he represented Finland internationally.
His older brother is former NHL players Jarkko Ruutu and Mikko Ruutu.
