They are best known for the legal battle they waged with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The twins sued Facebook claiming that Zuckerberg stole their idea and source code after being contracted to help develop their site ConnectU while all three were undergraduate students at Harvard. In 2008 Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss reached a settlement with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg which at the time was valued at $65 million. By 2010 their Facebook stock was worth an estimated $120 million. If they held on to that stock to this day, it would be worth over $300 million. The Winklevoss twins founded their high school rowing club, rowed at Harvard, and competed in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. The brothers rowed in the men's coxless pair event and placed sixth out of the fourteen teams that had qualified for the finals in the event.
