Varada Sethu appeared in a short film Appearances as Sameena in 2010. Later Sethu landed the role of Kiran in the 2011 feature film Sket , then as Meghana Scariah in English: An Autumn in London in 2012. In 2015 she made an appearance in Doctors (TV Series) as PC Kylie Green. her career moved on in 2016 appearing as Peaseblossom in a TV movie version of A Midsummer Night's Dream (2016 film) . Also in 2016, Varada acted alongside Michael Caine and Daniel Radcliffe in Now You See Me 2 , and as an Indian nurse in New Blood (TV series) . In 2017 Varada starred as Aisha in 2 episodes of Doctor Foster (TV series) . Varada also performs in Hard Sun (TV series) as DS Mishal Ali for 6 episodes.
Varada was born in Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne to parents of Malayalee origin (Coastal South West India). She attended the Dame Allan’s Schools in Newcastle upon Tyne, and at 18-years of age, became a member of the National Youth Theatre, also securing a place at the University of Bristol to study Veterinary Medicine. Varada is adept in dancing both Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. In 2010 Varada won the Miss Newcastle title following an invitation form the Tyne Tees Modelling agency.
