Cobo appeared in several television series before she finally got noticed in a feature film called La Vida mancha (under the direction of film director and screenwriter Enrique Urbizu). She then played a leading role in the film El séptimo día (under the direction of filmmaker Carlos Saura), for which she received a nomination for Most Promising Actress from the Spanish Film Writers' Circle.
