Known especially for his role as Gokai Blue/Joe Gibken in the Sentai Gokaiger sub-series of the Super Sentai superhero television franchise, he also lent his voice to several films based on the Super Sentai series.
He began his career as a candidate for Watanabe Entertainment's D-Boys talent development program.
In 2012, he was cast as Koji Fujiyoshi in the television adaptation of the popular Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) manga series.
He was born and raised in Japan's Aichi Prefecture.
He and Kanata Hongo, born just two months apart, both had successful careers as anime voice actors in Japan.
