A Belarusian-born chess player who has had success playing for both Belarus and the United States. He notably won the Winner 107th US Open Chess Championship in 2006.
He began receiving formal chess training at the age of six.
He won the Belarusian Championship in 1994 and 1998.
As a child Prodigy, he received a high level of support from his family.
He is a teammate and friend of top American chess player Hikaru Nakamura.
