Drummer and composer with a unique, expressive and characterful style. He was part of the United Vibrations group who produced the 2016 album, The Myth of the Golden Ratio. He collaborated on the jazz-funk project, Black Focus LP, with Kamaal Williams, under the name Yussef Kamaal. In 2021, he had formed the Yussef Dayes Trio and they released the live Welcome To The Hills album. He signed with the Brownswood label, and in September 2022 came out with The Yussef Dayes Experience: Live at Joshua Tree EP.
He was given his first drum kit at the age of 4. At age 10, he began studying under the iconic drummer Billy Cobham
