The eldest child of the Bates Family, the titular stars of the UpTV reality series Bringing Up Bates. His parents, eighteen siblings, and other extended family members make up the cast of the popular reality show.
In 2010, he became the youngest person in Anderson County ever to be elected county commissioner-elect. He later went on to run for mayor in 2014.
After graduating from the police academy in 2015, he began working nights as a police officer.
After marrying Whitney Bates in 2013, the two gave birth to their son Bradley Gilvin in 2014 and their daughter Kaci Lynn in 2016.
He is the first born child of his parents and costars Gil and Kelly Jo Bates.
