Professional chef and Writer best known for the release of more than half a dozen popular cookbooks. She has been the head chef of restaurants like The Tabernacle, Rubicon, and Robert De Niro's Tribeca Grill. She's also been a chef in residence at The Guardian and written weekly columns for the news outlet.
In 1991, she earned her certificate in classical French cooking from Cordon Bleu in London and went on to achieve a higher certificate from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. At 24, she earned her first head chef position in Notting Hill.
She catered for a Democratic Party fundraiser, personally cooking for former United States President Bill Clinton.
Her father, Colin McEvedy, was a Psychiatrist, Historian, and writer; her mother was a Writer and died when she was just 17. She was married to Susi Smither from 2006 until 2012. In 2014, she and her daughter Delilah began living with her partner Jack Monroe, along with the food blogger's son.
She replaced fellow chef and television personality Mary Berry as a judge on the BBC series Junior Bake Off.
