After winning the 2001 Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant title, she finished in the top ten at Miss Earth 2001 and went on to win the 2005 Binibining Pilipinas title and to reach the top fifteen of the 2005 Miss World pageant.
Before beginning her modeling and entertainment careers, she studied art at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Also an Actress and television personality, she appeared in the GMA Network series Kakambal ni Eliana and competed on the ABS-CBN reality show U Can Dance. In early 2009, she was photographed for the cover of FHM Philippines Magazine.
The daughter of Catherin Ang and Raul Aguilar, she grew up in Quezon City, Philippines, with three siblings. She and Filipino actor and model Dennis Trillo welcomed a son named Calix Andreas in September of 2007.
Among her acting credits are the Vic Sotto comedy movie Iskul Bukol 20 Years After (2008) and the Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera feature Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang or Dangerous Love (2009).
