Actress of the stage and screen most notable for her portrayal of Nana McQueen in Hollyoaks from 2007 to 2009, and again from 2012 to 2015. She joined the London cast of Billy Elliot as Grandma in between her stints on Hollyoaks. She previously had a prominent role in the show The Rag Trade.
Her career in entertainment began as a Dancer. She made her film debut in 1959's Carry on Teacher.

She married her second husband Derek James in 1976 after having a son from her first marriage.
