Guy Siner was born on October 16, 1947 in  New York City, New York, United States, is Actor, Soundtrack, Producer. Guy is known the world over for his portrayal of Lieutenant Gruber, one of the original and enduring characters of over 90 episodes of 'Allo 'Allo! (1982) which is one of the most successful comedy series the B.B.C. has ever produced and is still shown in more than 80 countries.Guy was born in Manhattan to an American father and an English mother. He was educated in England and trained for the stage at the Webber Douglas Academy in London where he won the Rodney Millington Award for his performance as The Emcee in Cabaret. In a career of some 30 years he has become a household name in the U.K. both in theatre and television. In recent years he has spent much of his time working in the film industry in Los Angeles but is now based in London where he juggles two careers - actor and writer/producer. With his producing partner Nicholas Irons he has a film in development - a British romantic caper/comedy called "The Day the Train Stopped" written by Ashley Nunn.Guy made his first London appearance in the highly acclaimed Cowardy Custard at the Mermaid Theatre. Other London credits include Off the Peg, Nickleby and Me, Toad of Toad Hall, The Frogs, Wealth, The Biograph Girl and Don't Dress for Dinner. He has also appeared several times in cabaret at The Ritz. He has worked with many of the leading English repertory companies including Coventry, Leicester, Brighton, Windsor, Oxford and The Bristol Old Vic, and did six major tours with Jonathan Lynn's Cambridge Theatre Company in a repertoire mainly of the classics including The Master Builder, The Relapse, An Inspector Calls and Uncle Vanya. Biography/Timeline

1980

In 1980, Siner portrayed Director Mack Sennett in The Biograph Girl, a short-lived West End musical about the silent film era. He played Lieutenant Hubert Gruber in the sitcom 'Allo 'Allo! between 1982 and 1992. Other credits include I, Claudius; Babylon 5; Seinfeld; You Rang, M'Lord?; The Brittas Empire; Leprechaun 4: In Space; Martial Law; Diagnosis: Murder; Secret Army; Star Trek: Enterprise and the Doctor Who story "Genesis of the Daleks." He also played a small role in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. In addition to this, he also appeared in ChuckleVision.

1992

After 'Allo 'Allo came to the end of its run in 1992, Siner worked for a time in the United States, based in Los Angeles, California. He has since returned to the United Kingdom, and now resides in Chesham in Buckinghamshire.

2001

In 2001, Siner appeared as a guest star in Episode 4 of the Trey Parker-Matt Stone sitcom That's My Bush!, playing the President of Austria.

2006

In 2006, Siner appeared in two films by Writer and Director David Roden (of Dimensions in Time fame) called Beginner's Please and The Resurrectionist.

2007

In June and July 2007, he reprised his role of Lieutenant Gruber in the stage play of 'Allo 'Allo, for Twelfth Night Theatre in Brisbane, alongside Gorden Kaye and Sue Hodge, playing their original roles of René Artois and Mimi Labonq. The other characters were portrayed by various Australian actors, including Katy Manning, Steven Tandy and Jason Gann.

2008

He worked as a script Editor on two expanded universe Dr Who stories in 2008.

2013

Siner appeared in Episode 2 of the BBC sitcom Family Tree, which first aired on British television in July 2013.
