American Lawyer and Politician who represented Pennsylvania as a Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1941 to 1945 and from 1947 to 1959. He also served in the U.S. Senate from 1959 to 1977.
He earned a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1922.
