Famous for her portrayal of Madame Claudia Buenavista on the Filipino soap opera Pangako Sa 'Yo, she is also notable for her series regular role on the GMA Network drama The Half Sisters.
Before beginning her entertainment career with appearances on That's Entertainment and the GMA Supershow, she studied at Trinity College of Quezon City.
Her acting honors include Golden Screen Awards (for her performances in It Might Be You and Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa) and a Metro Manila Film Festival Award (for her work in Trudis Liit).
Born Jessica Rodriguez Maitim, she grew up in Angeles City, Philippines. One of her two daughters, Jennica Garcia, also pursued an acting career.
