Actor and Choreographer best recognized for his portrayal of the unscrupulous Charles Lee in the hit musical Hamilton. He has also held starring roles in Hands on a Hardbody and In the Heights and been a contributing Choreographer to Hamilton, In the Heights, and Aida.
Throughout high school, he was active in marching band, musical theatre, and madrigals. He then spent his college years at Rutgers University studying communications and public relations.
In addition to his skills as a performer and Choreographer, he has worked as a creative consultant for Spongebob the Musical.
Both of his parents, Maria Nohelia Castañeda Cano and Elibanier 'Marco' Rua, emigrated to New Jersey from Colombia.
In addition to playing Charles Lee, he also understudied for Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in the role of Alexander Hamilton.
