He is the brother of fellow Producer Fausto Gerardo Sáenz and actresses Verónica Castro and Beatriz Castro. He had three daughters named Angelica, Regina and Fernanda with his ex-wife Angélica Rivera. He later dated Nadia Rowinsky from 2008 to 2009, and then Angelique Boyer from 2011 to 2014.
He is the uncle of Cristian Castro.
