He studied Social Communication and Journalism at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. He then began his career by working for RCN Radio's program Radio Sucesos.
He is known for winning the XXVI India Catalina Award for City News in 2010.
He was born and raised in Ibagué, Tolima.
