Known for her work on the popular comedy series The Big Gay Sketch Show and Saturday Night Live, she also appeared in such films as Intramural and Life Partners. She was cast in the 2016 sci-fi/comedy film Ghostbusters.
She attended Columbia University. Early in her career, she performed at New York City's famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
She became known for her comedic impressions of such celebrities and public figures as Hillary Clinton, Martha Stewart, Barbara Walters, Ann Romney, Edie Falco, Shakira, and Lorde.
She has a younger sister, fellow Comedian Emily Lynne. She and Jackie Abbott debuted as a couple at the 2017 Emmys.
She played Hillary Clinton on Saturday Night Live during the 2016 presidential election.
