Former lead singer and Guitarist for the band Viola Beach whose life was tragically cut short after the car he was in fell off a bridge into a river in February 2016. He was on tour with his bandmates and manager, all of whom were killed in the crash.
The band was formed over time, with the final lineup not established until May 2015. Leonard was working cleaning toilets when he reached out to BBC Introducing, who went on to feature the band.
The deaths of the Viola Beach members were met with an outpouring of people paying their respects, including a brief tribute at a Manchester City game, a tribute concert, and a campaign to get their single "Swings & Waterslides" up the charts. It ultimately peaked at number 11.
He was survived by his mother Lisa and sister Charlotte.
Liam Gallagher of Oasis was one of the people to support the "Swings & Waterslides" campaign.
