Over the course of his ice dancing career, this Italian skater won Italian national, European, and World championships and received a bronze medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. From 1994 until 2006, he was partnered with fellow Italian ice Dancer Barbara Fusar-Poli.
He began ice skating when he was ten years old and went on to win three Italian Junior Ice Dancing Championships.
After retiring from competitive ice dancing, he began building and coaching Finland's Olympic ice dancing team.
Between 2007 and 2012, he and his wife Jyrina welcomed sons named Gabriel, Sebastian, and Julian.
He and fellow world champion skater Michelle Kwan were both bronze medalists at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
